A certificate matters only when its entity, site, scope and validity match.

Build an evidence index that connects product, process, pack, lot and market. Do not use a badge wall as a substitute.

Identity

Product code, formula or specification version, intended feeding role, target market, life stage and approved pack.

Ingredient and additive names, supplier or batch records, acceptance criteria and any market-specific restrictions.

The production route, control points, sanitation or thermal controls, tolerances and change-management record.

Analytical, microbiological, contaminant, packaging and sensory results agreed for the SKU and market.

Lot reference, quantity, manufacturing and best-before data, approved artwork and authorized release status.

Commercial invoice, packing list, origin or health documentation and destination-specific import records where required.

Reference is not approval

AAFCO publishes model regulations and nutrient profiles; it does not certify or approve a product.

FDA regulates animal food in the United States; facility registration or an import process is not product endorsement.

FEDIAF publishes European industry nutrition and labelling guidance; it is not a product certification badge.

Disease treatment or prevention claims, complete-food claims and many voluntary terms need product- and market-specific substantiation.
